about the Studio

Crafter's Studio is located in New Holstein on the corner of Wisconsin and Washington and located about halfway between Milwaukee and Green Bay. Follow State Highway 57 North of Milwaukee and you will drive right past the Studio. The Studio is located along with Lilybee Flowers on the corner across from True Value Hardware.

crafter's studio's story

A Co-worker/friend & I had a common interest in Scrapbooking. We knew others who also enjoyed Scrapbooking. We decided to set up a day for ladies with 8+ hours uninterrupted Scrapbooking at a local town hall. We had Creative Memories’s products & Jolee stickers (I had purchased off Ebay) for sale.
It was fun for all, & we set up a second day at a Community Center.
Shortly after, my friend’s retail store front became available & we thought “why not” give a business a try. We formed the partnership Crafter’s Studio LLC, leaving the door open in the name if we would offer more than paper crafts. We both had full time jobs & were just open a couple nights a week & 2 Saturdays a month. Customers helped in teaching card classes.
My business partner with her work and family demands left the partnership in 2013. In 2014 I moved the Studio from Kiel to New Holstein.
Thank you to customers that followed me from Kiel to New Holstein & all the new customers I have met.

Hey, I'm Kathy!

I’m the youngest of 4 children & grew up on a dairy farm in rural Elkhart Lake WI. Growing up on a farm was a great experience providing many learning opportunities & responsibilities
I graduated from Lakeshore Technical College & later Lakeland College with a degree in Accounting. I worked at Johnsonville Sausage for 35 years and now am enjoying owning Crafter’s Studio with opportunities to provide crafting supplies and a learning environment.

Rural Elkhart Lake is still my home.

I remember as a child making cards for my Parents. I found a couple of those cards. You may have also made cards when you were younger cutting, pasting and coloring. Making cards has come a long way with all the tools and techniques. Remember  you don’t have to be a child to make cards!

I am excited that I am able at Crafter’s Studio to provide supplies and spark ideas to continue handmade cards.
